Privacy Policy

This privacy policy specifically relates to how The Wisdom Partnership (TWP) stores and uses data about users of its website.

What information do we collect?
When you visit www.thewisdompartnership.com, we collect information in two main ways.

1. As a normal browser of the site
When you browse our website, we collect information such as your IP address, the pages you visit and your operating system and browser type. We use this information to anonymously analyse how our site is used to give you the best possible experience.

2. When you opt to submit personal information
We collect your information when you opt to give it to us, such as when you request to view certain content or when you register for an event or conference by submitting your personal information. We only use this information for the purposes requested, and you can opt out at any time.

Who will the information be shared with?
The information you submit to us as part of an application, request or enquiry may be shared with colleagues within TWP or its affiliates to be able to fulfil your request. In some instances, we will share information with a third party to perform a task on our behalf, such as a fulfilment house to dispatch a letter.

These third parties may come into contact with your personal information in the course of providing their services to us, but they must provide equivalent levels of security for your personal information in the same way that TWP does.

We will never sell your personal information to a third party.

Third parties on our website
We only engage with third parties who are fully compliant with the GDPR.

WordPress: Our websites and subdomains are hosted in WordPress. All information we collect through our website is used, disclosed and protected by TWP and this privacy policy. We use a standard WordPress service to collect anonymous information about users’ behaviour patterns, for example, the number of page views on the site, to enable us to tailor content and create better user experiences. Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect standard information about the details of visitor behaviour patterns to certain parts of our website. Google do not collect information from us that identifies any of our users. You can find out more about Google’s position on privacy as regards its analytics service on their Safeguarding your Data page. Visitors may choose to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Remarketing
We use a remarketing service, AdRoll, to help us match our marketing messages with the right people. When you visit TWP’s website, a third-party service may place cookies on your browser for targeted advertising purposes. You can choose to opt-out of remarketing by visiting the AdRoll opt out page.

Third party marketing
TWP processes personal data from a third party, The Education Company, for the purposes of direct marketing. The Education Company remain the data controller for this data, and the information they collect and distribute is done so under The Education Company privacy policy.

Emails
Some of our emails use web beacons (single, invisible 1×1 pixel images that are downloaded when emails are opened). The web beacon itself does not contain any personal data but allows us to monitor whether emails have been correctly received, opened and clicked on and to improve the overall email experience we provide.

Your rights
You have rights as an individual to control the information we hold about you under the General Data Protection Regulation and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR).

Every user is entitled to the following:
 
The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that TWP corrects any information you believe to be inaccurate. You also have the right to request TWP completes information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that TWP erases your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that TWP restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to TWP’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that TWP transfers the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Subject Access Requests (SARs)

You have the right to make a subject access request under the General Data Protection Regulation. If we hold any personal information about you we will:
 
• Give you a description of it
• Tell you our legal basis for retaining it
• Let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.

You may need to provide:
 
• Additional contact information and identifiers, such as phone number(s), email address(es)
• Proof of identity using two pieces of approved identification
 
In all cases TWP will use reasonable efforts to supply, correct or delete personal information about you on our files.

Links to other websites
This Privacy Policy only applies to TWP’s website and not to websites owned by third parties. We are not liable for the content posted on third party sites that we have linked to and encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit.
